WHO?
This inquiry is hosted in collaboration between Beehive Productions, Chris Corrigan and Kelly Foxcroft Poirier. Kelly brings her deep understanding of her Nuu-chah-nulth culture and helps us open up a different and very important experience and understanding of power. We bring together decades practical experience with hosting strategic participatory processes and century old wisdom of living in wise relationship with all living beings to this inquiry about how power shows up and can be transformed in our work and in our lives.
Kelly Foxcroft Poirier
Kelly Foxcroft Poirier (Chii-ilth-uum-qua) is from the Gallic family of the Tseshaht Tribe, one of 16 nations that comprises Nuu-chah-nulth. She is a spirited artist expressing her gifts in many forms, she is a graphic recorder and a talented host and facilitator. She accrued over a decade of experience bringing high quality-engagement, facilitation, and communications services to NGOs, First Nations governments, and arts and culture organizations. She is the co-founder of White Raven Consulting.
Chris Corrigan
Chris is a teacher and facilitator of strategic conversations and a practitioner of the Art of Hosting whose work invites collective intelligence and collective leadership to be activated in the service of complex challenges. Chris has worked locally and internationally in a huge variety of contexts including social services, indigenous community development, immigration and refugee issues, business, government, food systems and education.
Beehive Productions
Beehive Productions is an inter-generational collaboration between Rowan Simonsen and Amy Lenzo. We offer learning programs that are designed to build capacity, develop skills, and cultivate the relational field that supports participatory practice.
We are honored to work with Chris and Kelly in this important learning about how power & privilege shows up in our lives, work, and communities, and how to transform it.

We invite you to explore the nature of power and how you use it through a lens partly rooted in Nuu-chah-nulth cultural concepts, practicing Depth, Courage, Vision and Joy as strategies for transforming the way we engage in our meetings, organizations, and social movements.
Many cultures have used story and character archetypes as a way of exploring the interrelationship between our inner work and collective values in ways that can gently guide our actions. Harnessing the power of story, connected to powerful observations of our natural world.
We bring a Nuu-chah-nulth storytelling framework for practicing Depth, Courage, Vision and Joy in ways that invites us all into the interplay between individual and collective inquiry to action in ways that help us uphold our responsibilities to ourselves, our families towards a better world and more wellbeing for all.

Our Invitation to you
Our environment is giving us signals - we are sick. We are not well. We have inherited systems of power that dehumanize and disconnect us. Our models and images of power are so often based on domination and separation that it often makes us difficult to work with power. To craft positive and life-giving change means working from a worldview where we can use power in ways that are supportive of our work, whether that is creating social change, improving community and organizational life or simply meeting differently.
Join us in learning about how to work with and transform our approach to power and privilege, as we explore ways to change those paradigms around power that we face in our everyday lives, explicitly and implicitly.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
In this course you you will be part of an immersive experience of working directly with our stories of power, supported by 4 passionate hosts and a group of deeply inspiring peers.
From the course experience we will create the first ever compendium as a practice for working with power from a Nuu-chah-nulth perspective.
Join us for a series of online experiential workshops that gently disrupt patterns of colonization and offer a living framework to support us in considering power and privilege from a decolonized lens. See the world through Nuu-chah-nulth eyes, as Indigenous stories and iconic images work their magic and activate internal changes that can ripple out into our work and transform our worldview.

Who are Nuu-chah-nulth?
Nuu-chah-nulth are the coastal Indigenous stewards of West Coast of Vancouver Island off the western most edge of Canada. Nuu-chah-nulth comprises 14 communities along the coast interconnected by language, cultural and family ties.
